I just stumbled upon this today, and I thought it was pretty funny. These are the recommended “Similar to” Twitter users to Yoko Ono.
What exactly do all these people have in common with Yoko Ono? Are there people who are both Yoko Ono and Dolly Parton fans? I guess they are now as Twitter is recommending the connection and I’m sure people have been compelled to follow both. Honestly I never thought anyone was similar to Yoko Ono, but obviously Twitter has found four people…possibly more.
Yoko Ono is obviously famous for her marriage to John Lennon and her performance art, but she’s also well known for telling random people that she loves them. This is a tweet from just this morning. Yoko Ono has more than 1 million followers on Twitter!
Telling random strangers that she loves them has been Yoko Ono’s bag for decades. Back in 1972, Ono and her husband John Lennon co-hosted “The Mike Douglas Show” for one week. On one of the episodes they picked people randomly from different phone books across the country and just called them and told them that they love them. That was television in the 1970s! Watch for yourself.
